Health and Social Care BSc (Hons) with Foundation Year
This four-year degree is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in health and social care. Developed in collaboration with industry leaders, the program equips students with essential knowledge in psychological interventions, alternative therapies, social prescribing, multi-agency collaboration, chronic condition management, and leadership in healthcare.
The Foundation Year provides a pathway for students without conventional academic qualifications, focusing on developing academic skills and confidence. It introduces fundamental concepts in holistic care, human biology, psychology, and sociology, emphasizing their impact on individual and community well-being. The curriculum also explores exercise’s role in health, incorporating behavior change theories and client interaction strategies.
Upon completing the Foundation Year, students seamlessly transition to the core degree, building on their foundational knowledge for a rewarding career in health and social care.
